Against the Current Relaxed Fit Tee

Swim upstream. The Against the Current tee from Conquering Barbell is classic Japanese tattoo flash: a red and cream koi fights its way up a roaring blue waterfall, its tail already turning into a dragon's as it nears the top. Legend says the koi that climbs the falls becomes a dragon. AGAINST THE CURRENT arches across the top in bold red, with the Conquering Barbell shield set in the crashing waves and the kanji 鯉の滝登り (the koi climbs the waterfall) below. A leaping koi in a ring of waves hits the left chest.

Built on a garment-dyed heavyweight cotton tee, the Against the Current has a thick, lived-in feel right out of the bag that only gets better with every wash. The relaxed fit and soft vintage texture let the graphic do all the talking.

    Really comfortable shirt for the big boys. I got the 3XL (I currently weight 305lbs standing at 6'1") and it fits perfectly. A little breathing room so on and so forth and it hangs lower than your normal tee. If you're about my size and want a tighter fit I would recommend the 2XL.     Just received my order (3 flags & 2 tee shirts) & was genuinely surprised at how good the quality is. The flags themselves feel high quality, the black background is dark and the material feels substantial. The image on the flags is vivid & sharp with no “bleed over” at the edges of the image. The tee shirts again feel substantial. The images are sharp and vivid with a thickness to them that feels like the print will last. I ordered size L in the oversized tee’s and wasn’t sure how over sized they would be. I was pleasantly surprised that for my build they actually fit comfortably snug in the chest / back / arms & trim in the waist. (For context 5’9, 195)

    All in all, the quality exceeded what I was expecting & I will absolutely be ordering again soon. . Also & important to me, Audie (the owner) was extremely responsive in answering my emails even at evening hours. Great purchase for me.
